The Hamilton College men's soccer team opened their 2001 UCAA conference season with a 1-0 win over Vassar College this afternoon (9/15) on Love Field. The Continentals came into the game ranked 7th in latest NSCAA Division III poll.
After a scoreless first half the Continentals struck in the 69th minute. Mike Signorelli broke free on a nifty pass from Huy Huynh and buried a shot past Vassar's goalkeeper. Doug Bellard made six saves, thwarting a number of chances by the Brewers.
