Hamilton College defeated Colgate University and Northwestern University in matches played at the Little Squash Center on Feb. 13 and 14.
 
The Continentals (9-14 overall) were No. 22 in the most recent College Squash Association rankings, while Colgate was 29th and Northwestern was 28th.
 
On Saturday, Hamilton defeated Colgate, 8-1. Cooper Veysey ‘12, Alex Wood ‘12, Hal Lee ‘11, Harry Keeshan ‘13, Ronald German ‘13 and Tim Gray ‘12 all swept their opponents in three games at the third through seventh and ninth positions, respectively.
 
Mario Magaña ‘10 won in four games at the second position by scores of 11-4, 11-8, 9-11 and 11-4. Brett Morell ‘10 also won 3-1 at the eighth position (11-4, 11-8, 7-11, 11-5).
 
On Sunday, the Continentals breezed to an 8-1 win over Northwestern. Hamilton again held its opponents winless at six positions. Veysey, Wood, Lee, Keeshan, German and Morell all won in three straight games at the third through eighth positions, respectively.
 
At the second position, Magaña earned his second win of the weekend in four games (11-4, 11-8, 9-11, 11-4). Gray improved his season record to 14-9 with a 3-2 win at the ninth position. Gray dropped a close opening game 12-10, won the second 11-7, and lost the third 11-3. He rallied to win his final two games 12-10 and 11-6.
 
The Continentals return to action on Friday, Feb. 19 in the CSA team championships at Yale University.
