Men's squash player receives academic honor


Hamilton College's Alex Wood '12 (Bryn Mawr, Pa./St. Paul's School [N.H.]) has been named a 2011-12 scholar-athlete by the College Squash Association.

In order to be eligible for the award, student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5, and have earned at least two varsity letters.

Wood finished his Hamilton career with 47 wins, which puts him in a tie for second place on the team's all-time list. He is a two-time member of the NESCAC winter all-academic team. Wood is a biochemistry major.
