Rochester Institute of Technology finished first in the 400-yard freestyle relay and the Tigers squeaked by the Hamilton College Continentals, 152-146, in a dual meet at RIT's Judson Pool on Saturday afternoon.

Results

Reid Swartz '15 captured first place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 53.83 seconds and in the 100 butterfly in 53.46 seconds. Swartz also led off Hamilton's 200 medley relay that finished second just .01 behind RIT with a time of 1:40.18. Alex Jones '16, Luke Jeton '17 and John McBratney '16 rounded out the relay.

Jones took first place in the 200 fly with a time of 2:04.12 and was runner-up in the 100 fly in 54.69 seconds. McBratney won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:02.54 and finished second in the 50 free (22.81 seconds) and the 100 free (49.16).

Ryan Cassidy '17 was a double winner as he posted the top time in the 500 free (4:56.88) and the 1,000 free (10:11.25). Tripp Miller '18 finished first in a pair of events as well. Miller won the 200 free with a time of 1:48.82 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:14.85.

Michael Weinzierl '15 was runner-up in three events. Weinzierl posted times of 2:02.26 in the 200 back, 2:04.09 in the 200 IM and 56.05 seconds in the 100 back.

The Continentals return home to Bristol Pool for the team's final home meet of the season against Union College on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m.
