Hamilton College remained in eighth place out of 11 teams after the second day of the 2011 New England Small College Athletic Conference men's swimming and diving championship at Bowdoin College's Greason Pool on Feb. 26.

Hamilton placed two swimmers in the top 10 of the 200-yard freestyle. Taylor Hogenkamp '13 finished seventh with a time of 1:43.15, and Jake DeConinck '11 was second in the consolation finals (10th overall). DeConinck's faster time in the prelims was 1:43.63.

Tom Cyran '12 ended up 10th in the 1,000 free with a time of 9:56.19. Bowie Sievers '11 was second in the conso finals (10th overall) of the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:09.06.

Hogenkamp, Cyran, Sievers and DeConinck finished third in the 800 free relay with a time of 6:54.52. Hamilton has finished third in this event for three straight years.

Williams College leads the field and Amherst College is second with one day to go.
