Men's swimming still ninth after Day 2 at NESCAC championship

Taylor Hogenkamp '13 finished eighth in the 200-yard freestyle for Hamilton College on the second day of the 2012 NESCAC men's swimming & diving championship at Williams College's Samuelson-Muir Pool on Feb. 25.
Hamilton remained in ninth place with 353 team points with one day left. Williams leads the 11-school field with 1,414.50 points.
Hogenkamp posted a time of 1:43.38 in the 200 free. He qualified for the championship final with a time of 1:43.22 in the preliminary heats.
Reid Swartz '15 took fourth place in the 100 backstroke consolation final with a time of 53.34 seconds. Swartz recorded a time of 53.15 seconds in prelims.
Ian Nichols '13 was seventh in the 100 breaststroke consolation final with a time of 1:00.64. Tom Cyran '12 ended up in 16th place in the 1,000 free with a time of 10:08.54.
Conor Collins '14 finished seventh in the 200 free consolation final with a time of 1:46.28. Collins' time in the prelims was 1:45.57.
