Men's tennis drops match to Bates

Bates College defeated Hamilton College 5-0 in a New England Small College Athletic Conference match played to decision in Lewiston, Maine, on April 18.
Bates (8-4 overall, 3-2 NESCAC) is ranked 29th in Division III by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Hamilton (6-9, 1-5) is ranked 18th in the Northeast region by the ITA.
The team of Mike Moreno ‘11 and Jordan Petit ‘13 fought hard at first flight doubles, but dropped their match, 8-4. Jon Franzel ‘13 and Peter Erwin ‘11 teamed up to play a competitive match at second flight doubles, but fell 8-6.
Hamilton plays a non-conference match at St. Lawrence University on Wednesday, April 21, at 4 p.m.
