  • Men's tennis rolls to 9-0 win at Rensselaer

    Moreno '11 posts team-high seventh singles win for Hamilton

    Hamilton College recorded straight-set wins in every singles match and the visiting Continentals cruised to a 9-0 non-conference win against Rensselaer at Sharp Courts on April 10.

    Mike Moreno '11 picked up his team-high seventh singles win of the season as he breezed to a 6-0, 6-4 decision at fourth flight. Moreno is 7-3 in singles play for Hamilton (3-6 overall). Rensselaer's record fell to 3-2.

    Mark Segal '09 improved to 5-2 with a 7-6 (2), 6-3 win at third flight. Greg Kreitzer '11 won at first flight, 6-3, 6-3, and Drew Libin '12 won his second flight match, 6-1, 6-1. Pete Erwin '11 (6-0, 6-1) and Henry Ciocca '09 (6-1, 6-0) recorded wins at fifth and sixth flight, respectively.

    Kreitzer and Libin teamed up for their second doubles win of the season. The pair won at first flight by an 8-3 count. Moreno and Erwin improved to 5-3 in doubles action with a 9-8 (5) win at the second spot. Ciocca and partner Coby Berman '12 improved to 2-0 with an 8-2 win at third doubles.

    The Continentals host Amherst College for a New England Small College Athletic Conference match on Saturday, April 11.
