Men's tennis sweeps Connecticut College

Hamilton College wrapped up its spring break trip to Orlando, Fla., with a 9-0 win over Connecticut College on March 19.
The win is Hamilton’s first against a New England Small College Athletic Conference opponent since a 4-3 victory at Conn. College on April 2, 2006. The Continentals improved to 3-3 this season.
Jon Franzel ‘13 rallied to win at first flight singles (2-6, 7-5, 6-1). At second flight, Drew Libin ‘12 allowed his opponent to win just one game (6-1, 6-0). Jordan Petit ‘13 won at third flight in straight sets, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2.
Greg Kreitzer ‘11 and Michael Moreno ‘11 won close matches at fourth and fifth flights, respectively. Kreitzer was a winner in three sets, and Moreno prevailed 7-6 (9-7) in the first set before he cruised 6-1 in the second. At sixth flight, Peter Erwin ‘11 defeated his opponent 6-3, 7-5.
In doubles, the team of Franzel and Libin won 8-6 at first flight. Moreno and Petit earned an 8-6 victory at second flight. At third flight, Kreitzer and Coby Berman ‘12 teamed up to win a close 9-7 match.
Hamilton will play its spring home opener against Wesleyan University on April 3.
