Graham Sadler '14 placed third in the high jump for Hamilton College on the first day of the 2012 New York State Collegiate Track Conference men's and women's indoor track & field championships at Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Feb. 24.

Results

The Continentals are in eighth place with 9.33 team points after the first day of the two-day meet. Rensselaer leads the 11-team field with 66.5 points.

Sadler's height of 1.98 meters (6 feet, 6 inches) qualifies him for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III championships next weekend in New York City. His school record is 1.99 meters.

Jimmy Alexis '13 tied for eighth place in the pole vault. Alexis cleared 3.95 meters (12 feet, 11.5 inches).

The distance medley relay finished sixth with a time of 10:38.18. The time to qualify for the ECAC meet is 10:38.00. Ben Yeo '14, Andrew Nachemson '15, Ben Moody '15 and James Grebey '12 were the relay members.

Jake London '14 is currently in second place in the heptathlon with 2,447 points through four events. London was first in the long jump with a mark of 6.10 meters (20 feet, 0.25 inches), tied for the top spot in the high jump with a height of 1.87 meters (6 feet, 1.5 inches), second in the 60-meter dash (7.45 seconds) and 12th in the shot put with a distance of 8.95 meters (29 feet, 4.5 inches).

The championships conclude on Saturday, Feb. 25.
