Hamilton College finished in ninth place at the 2010 New England Small College Athletic Conference outdoor track and field championship, which was hosted by Tufts University at Dussault Track/Ellis Oval in Somerville, Mass., on Saturday, April 24.
 
The Continentals finished with a total of 19.50 team points. Graham Sadler ’13 tied for fourth place in the high jump with a height of 1.86 meters (6 feet, 1-¼ inches).
 
Jimmy Alexis ’13 earned sixth place in the pole vault, clearing 4.34 meters (14-feet-2 ¾). Alexis also crossed the finish line in the 200-meter dash in 22.99 seconds for eighth place.
 
Josh Orndorff ‘11 finished sixth in the shot put with a mark of 13.55 meters (44-feet-5 ½). In the hammer throw, Orndorff’s distance of 45.22 meters (148-feet-4) earned him eighth place.
 
In the 1,500-meter run, James Grebey ‘12 recorded a time of 3:59.64 for sixth place. Will Reid ’10 crossed the finish in the 10,000-meter run in 32:12.40 to take seventh. Devon Lynch ’11 earned seventh place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:43.34.
 
Williams College finished first with a total of 167.50 team points, Tufts University took second with 155.50 points and Bates College rounded out the top three with 129 total points.
 
Hamilton competes in the New York State Collegiate Track Conference championship on April 30 and May 1 at Rensselaer in Troy, N.Y.
