Hamilton College athletes took first place in four events as the Continentals hosted their own non-team scoring Mid-Week Meet at Pritchard Track on April 17.

James Grebey '12 captured first place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:02.01. Ben Yeo '14 edged a Utica College athlete by 0.63 seconds to take first place in the 1,500-meter run in 4:10.99.

Jimmy Alexis '13 won the pole vault as he cleared 4.05 meters. Matt Peterfreund '14 captured first place in the javelin with a throw of 34.88 meters.

Jeffrey Blackburn '13 finished second in the long jump with a mark of 6.08 meters. Blackburn also posted a distance of 12.40 meters in the triple jump.

Will Tifft '14 came in second in the hammer throw with a distance of 42.00 meters, and Graham Sadler '14 cleared 1.93 meters in the high jump.

Hamilton travels to Bates College for the 2012 NESCAC Championships on Saturday, April 28, at 9 a.m.
