The Hamilton College Continentals opened two days of competition at the 2014 New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC) Championships held at St. Lawrence University’s Newell Field House on Friday.

Results

Joe Jensen ‘15 recorded the day’s top performance in the 400-meter dash, winning his preliminary heat in 50.47 seconds.

Two Continentals recorded eighth-place finishes: Adam Pfander ’16 finished the 5,000-meter run in 15:22.66 and met the qualifying standard for the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Championships, and the 800-meter relay of Jake London ’14, Charles Ensley ’17, Max Newman ’16 and Nate Somes ’16 recorded a time of 1:34.33.

Hamilton placed ninth in the distance medley relay with the team of James Bryan ’16, Somes, Andrew Mandelbaum ’16 and Harry Sullivan ’16 posting a time of 10:39.14. Dylan Berardelli ’16 was 15th in the shot put with an effort of 12.40 meters (40 feet, 8.25 inches).
