Hamilton College placed 10th at the 2013 New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC) Outdoor Championships, which were held at St. Lawrence University’s Merrick-Pinkard Track on May 3 and 4.

RESULTS

After he qualified for today’s 400-meter dash finals on Friday, Sam Reider '14 sprinted to second place and qualified for the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Outdoor Championships with a time of 49.53 seconds. Andrew Mandelbaum '16 finished eighth in the 800-meter run in a personal-record time of 1:56.50. Mandelbaum’s time was just 1.3 seconds shy of qualifying for the ECAC championships.

Michael Nkereuwem '16 took seventh place in the triple jump with a mark of 12.81 meters. James Bryan '16 completed the 1,500-meter run in 4:09.38, which was good for seventh place.

Rensselaer topped the 12-team field with 169 points, Ithaca College took second place with 148 points and Hamilton finished with 24. The Continentals are off next weekend and will send qualified athletes to the ECAC championships at Springfield College on Thursday and Friday, May 16 and 17.
