James Grebey '12 finished first overall and led Hamilton College to second place of 14 teams in the 2011 Hamilton Invitational on Oct. 8.

Results

Grebey covered the 8-kilometer course in 27 minutes, 28.3 seconds to lead the field of 115 runners.  His time was good for the 12th best in Hamilton's home course history.  Grebey had previously held the 13th-best time on Hamilton's home course.

Robert Hayden '14 also turned in a top-10 time for the Continentals, finishing in eighth place in 29:04.2.  Todd Woodworth '12 finished 15th with a time of 29:38.2. 

Will Robertson '14 was Hamilton's fourth finisher in 18th place with a time of 29:47.9. Daniel Bruzzese '12 rounded out the top five for the Continentals in 30:15.2, which was good for 27th place.

SUNY New Paltz captured the team title with a total of 65 points, and Hamilton finished just three points back with 68. Royal Military College finished third with 110 points.

Hamilton travels to St. Lawrence University for the 2011 New York State Collegiate Track Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 22, at noon.
