Schantz finished the regular season leading the Continentals in both scoring and rebounding, tallying 26.3 points per game and grabbing 12.8 boards per game. He ranks sixth in the nation in scoring and second in rebounding, making him one of only two players in the country to be ranked in the top ten for both categories.
With his 2,117 points and 1,132 rebounds, Schantz is only the second Hamilton player in school history to score at least 2,000 points and grab more than 1,000 rebounds in a career. Cedric Oliver (1975-79) is the other Continental to achieve that feat.
The Continentals finished the regular season with a 14-10 record. They take on Trinity College in the NCAA Division III Tournament round of sixteen 6 p.m. Friday, March 12 at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT.
