Students in Professor of Economics Ann Owen's course in Monetary Policy won their bracket in the Fed Challenge in New York City on Friday, Oct. 28.  They will compete in the semi-final round at the New York Federal Reserve on Nov. 16.

The students prepared a 15-minute group presentation about the current state of the economy and then answered tough questions from Federal Reserve and academic economists as well as finance professionals.  The entire class participated in the competition, with some class members helping to research and prepare the presentation and others being responsible for presenting at the competition.

The Levitt Center provided financial support to the Fed Challenge team.
