Hamilton College's Peter Kosgei '10 will compete in the 2008 NCAA Division III men's cross country championship at Hanover College's L.S. Ayres Athletic Complex in Hanover, Ind., on Saturday, Nov. 22.
Kosgei is in the national meet for the second year in a row. He finished second at the 2007 championship with a time of 24:36.2. He is the lone returning runner that finished in the top seven positions at last year's meet. Kosgei has won 18 of 19 cross country races at Hamilton.
The 8,000-meter race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Kosgei is one of 56 individuals not from the 32 teams that automatically qualified for the NCAA championship. He finished first at the NCAA Atlantic Regional with a time of 25:18.8 on Nov. 15.
