Hamilton College men's cross country runner Peter Kosgei '10 (Kapsabet, Kenya/Kapsabet Boys' HS) has earned Most Outstanding Performer and First Team all-conference honors from the New England Small College Athletic Conference for 2008.

The awards are based on Kosgei's performance in the NESCAC championship. He successfully defended his individual title as Hamilton finished in eighth place at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, Maine, on Nov. 1. He won by 35 seconds with a time of 25:07, which is a record on Bates College's 8,000-meter course.

Kosgei was awarded Most Outstanding Performer and First Team all-NESCAC in 2007 as well. He has won 16 out of the 17 races he has competed in at Hamilton. He finished second at the 2007 NCAA Division III championship.
