Hamilton College will host its ninth annual Intercollegiate Reading Series on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 28, at 10:30 a.m. and noon. Both sessions, which are free and open to the general public, will be held in the Fillius Events Barn.

Students from visiting colleges, as well as Hamilton students, will read original fiction during the sessions. Participating colleges include: Colby College, Columbia University, Dartmouth University, Skidmore College, St. Lawrence University and Syracuse University.

In addition, noted author and 1982 Hamilton alumnus Peter Cameron will read his fiction at 8:30 p.m. Saturday evening and answer questions at a reception following the reading. Cameron, an award-winning author who resides in New York City, has written three novels and two volumes of short stories. His most recent novel is The Weekend.

Following the final reading on Sunday, there will be an "open mike" session for fiction writers and poets at Cafe Opus in McEwen Hall. For more information, contact Lucy Ferriss in the Creative Writing Department at 859-4462.
