The GOLD Group of New York City presents The GOLD Book Club on Saturday June 12, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Southeast corner of Central Park’s Sheep Meadow in New York City, New York.

This summer, Hamilton GOLD in NYC is combining two of our favorite things— great books and picnics— to set the stage for the debut of the GOLD Book Club. Reading for fun and not class was nearly impossible during college, but now that we’re free of our reading lists (and spend our days reading boring spreadsheets), we thought it was time to share some great reads with classmates.

The perfect first GOLD Book Club read?
The Imperfectionists by Tom Rachman. His wry, vibrant debut got a rave review from the New York Times and we think you’ll love it too. Set against the gorgeous backdrop of Rome, The Imperfectionists follows the reporters, editors, and executives of an international English language newspaper as they struggle to keep it—and themselves—afloat.

Sign up via Facebook — the first five people to RSVP will get a complimentary copy of The Imperfectionists.
