OSCAR HIJUELOS TO READ AT HAMILTON

Pulitzer Prize winner Oscar
Hijuelos (ee-WAY-lohs), author of The Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love,
will present a reading of his work at Hamilton College on Thursday, March 6,
at 8 p.m. The reading will take place in the Fillius Events Barn, and is free
and open to the general public.
_Hijuelos' other novels include Our House in the Last World, The Fourteen Sisters of Emilio Montez O'Brien and Mr. Ives' Christmas. His most popular book to date, The Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love, was a national and international bestseller. It won the 1990 Pulitzer Prize for fiction, and was adapted into a major motion picture starring Armand Assante and Antonio Banderas.
