Anne Carson, poet and classics scholar, has rescheduled her visit to Hamilton College for March 2 and 3. Carson will give a reading of her creative work on Tuesday, March 2, at 8 p.m. in Dwight Lounge of Bristol Campus Center. She will deliver a classics lecture entitled: "Economy: Reading Simonides with Paul Celan," on Wednesday, March 3, at 4:15 p.m. in Dwight Lounge of the Bristol Campus Center. Both are free and open to the public.

Carson is a professor of classics at McGill University. Her publications include Eros the Bittersweet, Glass, Irony and God, Plainwater and The Autobiography of Red. She has been awarded grants from the Guggenheim Foundation and has received an award from the Lannan Foundation for the excellence of her literary work.

Her appearance is sponsored by the English department.
