The always-popular Alumni Colleges will feature a variety of topics sure to interest everyone. Stan Kay '74 will discuss "The role of Thermonuclear (Hot) Fusion in Tomorrow's Energy Economy," on Friday at 1 p.m. in the Kennedy Auditorium of the Science Center. Join Thomas Darling '59 for a discussion of "Alzheimer's Disease - A Cure in Our Lifetime," on Friday at 3 p.m. in room 3024, also in the Science Center.

Saturday's Alumni Colleges include Bruce Goldstone '84, who will read from several of the children's books he has written in "The Beastly Feast and Other Children's Stories," on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Red Pit. In another Alumni College, Ed Deci '64 will discuss "Why We Do What We Do," drawing from his 40 years of psychological research at the University of Rochester. That takes place at 3 p.m. in the Kennedy Auditorium.

Also at 3 p.m. in the Alumni College "Lightpaintings - An Artist's Journey," Stephen Knapp '69 will describe his journey from Hamilton – how a history major with no art background picked up a camera in college and is now featured in museums across the country. The unveiling of a Lightpainting, a gift from the Class of '69, will immediately follow in the Wellin Lobby at Schambach Center.

The Emerson Gallery will feature an exhibit of paintings by John Suplee '69, titled "Watching One Place Very Carefully." Suplee will discuss his work in an Alumni College on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Gallery.

On Saturday, alumni can participate in the annual Winton Tolles Golf tournament, the Long Run, an annual cross country fun run, or the second annual bicycle ride through the Mohawk Valley. On Saturday evening enjoy the Continental Cabaret with the Alumni All-Stars jazz band –– one of the longest-playing college alumni bands in America. A DJ dance party will take place on Saturday at 10 p.m. in Soper Hall of Commons.

Also during the weekend, reunion classes will hear a state of the college address from Acting President and Dean of Faculty Joe Urgo on Saturday at 2 p.m., celebrate at class dinners, hold class meetings and participate in a Service of Remembrance for deceased alumni.
