Ryan Serhant '06 was recently the subject of a Parade.com interview titled "Ryan Serhant Gets Hands-On With AT&T."  Serhant, a former star on As the World Turns, has some of the most famous hands in the world.  He currently works as a hand model for the AT&T “hands” campaign, in which his painted hands are shown holding AT&T’s electronic devices.  Italian artist, Guido Daniele, paints Serhant’s hands with intricate images of scenes from all over the world, including the Great Wall of China and the Rialto Bridge.  Serhant says the AT&T job is “by far one of the most rewarding just because of its success and its exposure.”  He enjoys seeing his ad on a billboard and being able to say, “Those are my hands.”

Serhant’s ascension in to the world of hand modeling was unplanned. Prior to the AT&T campaign, Serhant was mostly known for acting.  In addition to his role on As the World Turns, he has acted in various indie films and in over a dozen plays.  At Hamilton, Serhant was the star of many on-campus productions, including Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire.  During his college years, he also studied at The Globe Theatre in London and The Perry Mansfield Performing Arts School in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Serhant graduated from Hamilton with a double concentration in theatre and literature. Besides his active role in Hamilton’s theatrical productions, he was a brother in the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He currently lives in New York City and remembers to lotion his hands every day.
