A Service Fair hosted by Hamilton's department of administrative services on January 16 drew hundreds of  College employees to the Annex, where they learned about everything from recycling and rental cars, to copying services and summer camps. And, as an added bonus employees were treated to a buffet lunch catered by Bon Appetit.  Joe Cappa, Hamilton's director of administrative services, said the Service Fair was the result of a need to educate employees on the services offered by the finance and administration deapartments.

Employees who visited the fair commented on the well-organized event, which featured exhibits staffed by employees from various Hamilton College service departments. Phyllis Breland (HEOP) said, " It's a great opportunity to see all the things available to us that we don't necessarily know about." Mary Hoying (Communications & Development), said she found it especially valuable to learn the responsibilities of employees in the business office. "It's great, especially with people changing jobs, to know who to call for specific questions," Hoying added.

Cappa said the event "was a real team effort, with great cooperation from all the offices that fall under administrative services, as well as our vendors." He thanked everyone who participated and said more Service Fairs will definitely be held in the future.

Attendees were also eligible to win a plethora of door prizes donated by the various departments, including a vcr/dvd player, books of stamps, cakes and cookies, cookbooks, flowering crabapple trees and two round trip tickets on Continental Airlines. Among exhibitors were Barnes & Noble, the Print Shop, BTI Travel Services, Physical Plant, TIAA-CREF, the Mail Center, Card and Conference Services and the Business Office.
