The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) has invited Visiting Assistant Professor of Critical Languages Mary Sisler to participate in a three-week summer institute titled  “Leonardo da Vinci: Between Art and Science.” Sisler was one of about 25 scholars in various disciplines chosen to participate.

The program, an interdisciplinary study of Leonardo da Vinci's activities as a scientist, writer, painter, and theoretician, will be held June 25 - July 13 at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence, Italy. A faculty of renowned scholars from various disciplines including the history of science, literature, philosophy and art history will lead the program.
