Skidmore College opened the second half with seven straight goals and the visiting Thoroughbreds went on to a 13-6 Liberty League win against Hamilton College at Campus Road Athletic Field on April 22.

Hamilton (3-9 overall, 1-4 Liberty) trailed 3-1 after one quarter and 6-2 at the break. Skidmore (8-5, 3-2) opened up a commanding 12-2 lead with six unanswered goals in the third quarter.

Skidmore struck first in the fourth quarter, but the hosts rallied with four straight goals to close out the game. Andy Simon '09 punched in an unassisted goal with 9:39 to go. Peter Gerrity '09 scored on a set-up from Alex Duncan '10 with 4:34 left and Henry Burchenal '12 put in another goal 12 seconds later. Kevin Behr '11 was credited with the assist. James Hohm '12 scored his second goal of the season with 3:23 left to complete the scoring.

Burchenal led Hamilton with two goals and an assist. He added three ground balls. John Whitney '12 picked up a team-high four ground balls. Max Vaickus '12 made 12 saves in net in his 49-plus minutes of action. Garrett Akie '12 made one save in the final 10:52.

Alex Paganelli '12 scored his first career goal in the loss. Jon Leanos '12 was credited with his team-high 16th assist on Paganelli's goal. Hamilton was outshot 42-34.

Hamilton travels to nationally ranked St. Lawrence University for the Continentals' final regular season league contest on Saturday, April 25.
