Murder Ballad, the second collection of poems by Assistant Professor of English Jane Springer, has been named co-winner of the 2013 New England Poetry Club Sheila Motton Prize, 2013.  The category was judged by poet Vivian Shipley.

Poems from Murder Ballad have recently been anthologized on The Poetry Foundation's website, and in print in Red Holler: An Appalachian Poetry Anthology (Sarabande Books), The Plume Anthology (Pequod Books), and  Lit from Inside (Alice James Books).

Publications from Springer’s manuscript in progress, Albedo, may be found in recent issues of The Adroit Poetry Journal, The Birmingham Review's 25th anniversary issue, Lo-Ball, and Smartish Pace.
