St. Lawrence 93 Hamilton 77

St. Lawrence took advantage of Hamilton foul trouble and broke the game open in the final minutes, winning 93-77. The Saints, ranked #2 in the latest NCAA East region poll, improves to 22-3, while Hamilton, ranked #6, drops to 13-9.

Hamilton led for the entire first half and took a 45-41 lead to the locker room. The Continentals largest lead was 42-35 after a Lamar Johnson jumper with 2:15 left in the first half. St. Lawrence chipped away early in the second and finally tied the score at 56 on a jumper by Jon Bardeschewski with 13:10 remaining. With 8:55 left in the game, and Hamilton down two, 63-61, center JJ Raedts fouled out and just one minute later, Raedt's backup, Jon Schmiegel, also fouled out. The Saints then went on a 14-4 run to take a 77-65 lead with 4:40 left and Hamilton would get no closer than eight the rest of the way. St. Lawrence enjoyed a 28-10 advantage from the free throw line.

Greg Sutton led the Saints with 23 points and Greg Acunto chipped in with 21 points and 15 rebounds. Max Stroman led Hamilton with 18 points on 6-11 three-point shooting.
