Hamilton College's Jake DeConinck '11 (Windsor, Conn./Loomis Chaffee School) and Megan Gibbons '12 (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights HS) were selected the men's and women's swimming and diving performers of the week by the New England Small College Athletic Conference on Jan. 18.
DeConinck finished first in three freestyle events in a dual meet loss at Middlebury College on Jan. 16. He won the 200-yard free with a time of 1 minute, 48.34 seconds. He took the top spot in the 50 free in 22.08 seconds, and in the 100 free with a time of 48.58 seconds.
Gibbons captured first place in a pair of freestyle events in a dual meet loss at Middlebury College on Jan. 16. She won the 50-yard free with a time of 24.94 seconds, and recorded a victory in the 100 free in 54.46 seconds.
Hamilton hosts Amherst College and St. Lawrence University on Saturday, Jan. 23, at 2 p.m.
