Anna Tan Wilson, a distinguished professor of biology at Binghamton University and Paul Venet, a multimedia specialist, visited Hamilton in February to show how multimedia technology can be integrated into undergraduate course work in sciences. This presentation was based on a course "Multimedia in Biology" offered at Binghamton University during the spring and fall of 2000 and sponsored by the National Science Foundation. In these courses, each student employed traditional research methods and transformed the research into descriptive multimedia presentations. The presentation included a review of teaching strategies, examples of the students' works and a discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of the program. This seminar was videotaped and can be viewed below or by contacting Marylyn Nassimos (x4352) for the VHS version.
