Assistant Professor of English Katherine H. Terrell presented a paper titled "Forging the Past: John Hardyng and Anglo-Scottish Relations" at the International Medieval Congress held in Leeds, England, in July.

The paper examined the chronicle histories, maps, and forged documents of the English chronicler and spy John Hardyng, looking at how his attempts to rewrite history, reshape the landscape, and alter the documentary record all supported his agenda of imposing English control over Scotland.
