Human beings want to know what the future holds, especially American human beings...
"The survival of the species is dependent on predictions says, Douglas Raybeck, a Hamilton College professor of anthropology and author of an upcoming book on futures studies. "It can be as simple as 'Where is the (food) going to be?' or 'What is the weather going to be like?' We have to do it." The need is nothing new.
