Hamilton College’s Jimmy Alexis '13 (Jacksonville, Fla./Samuel W Wolfson Sr HS 224) and Hannah Jaiven '14 (Holland, Mich./West Ottawa HS) earned NESCAC all-conference honors for their performances at the 2013 NESCAC Outdoor Championships at Tufts University on April 27.

Alexis finished first in the men’s pole vault with a height of 4.45 meters (14 feet, 7.25 inches). Alexis is the first Hamilton athlete to win the men's pole vault at the NESCAC championships since James Russell '09 claimed the top spot in 2009. The top three finishers in all individual and relay events at the NESCAC meet earn a spot on the all-conference team.

Jaiven finished in the top eight in the women’s pole vault for the third consecutive year. She placed third and reached 3.35 meters (10 feet, 11.75 inches) and secured her first all-conference honor. Back on April 13, Jaiven set a program record in the pole vault at 3.51 meters (11 feet, 6.25 inches).

Both Alexis and Jaiven have qualified for the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Outdoor Championships, which will be held at Springfield College on Thursday and Friday, May 16 and 17.
