The Trinity College basketball team did what any goodteam needs to do when it is winning.

Hit their fouls shots.

The Bantams connected on 16 of 20 second half free throws en route to holdingoff a upstart Hamilton team 63-57 at Scott Field House in Clinton, NY.

Gretchen MacColl, Trinity's leading scorer, hit 9-10 free throws forthe game, while teammate Kate Leonard connected on seven of eight.MacColl finished the game with 21 points and 12 rebounds, whileLeonard did all the playamaking with nine points, six steals and fiveassists.

The Continentals (3-13) played extremely well, and led 27-25 at the half.Hamilton hit on 52% of their second half shots and all four of their freethrows, but it wasn't enough to upset Trinity (11-4).

Ashley Merriman led Hamilton with 18 points, 11 rebounds and fourassists. Kelly McKeown added 13 points.
