Hamilton College women's lacrosse players Lauren Sokol '12 (Colts Neck, N.J./Peddie School) and Rachel Friedman '13 (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde HS) were honored by the Liberty League on April 26 when the league selected its weekly award winners.

Sokol was named a co-defensive performer of the week for the second straight week and the third time this season. She picked up three ground balls, won four draw controls and caused three turnovers as Hamilton routed Utica College and the University of Rochester last week.

Friedman was a co-rookie of the week pick for the third time. She scored four goals, assisted on two others, won seven draw controls and caused three turnovers. She ranks fourth on the team with 25 goals and 30 points.

Hamilton (14-0 overall, 6-0 Liberty) is ranked No. 1 for the second straight week in the Division III Top 20 coaches poll. The Continentals are the only undefeated women's lacrosse team remaining in NCAA Division III.

Hamilton puts its 32-game home win streak on the line in the final two games of the regular season this weekend. Skidmore College visits the Continentals on Friday, April 30, and nationally ranked No. 11 Union College arrives for a league showdown on Saturday, May 1. Union is also 6-0 in the league, and was the last team to win at Hamilton on April 22, 2006.
