Kipp Bovey scored with 0:45 remaining in the game topropel Vermont, 5-9-1, to a 3-2 victory over Hamilton, 12-7-0, in an ECACAlliance battle.
Vermont jumped out to a 1-0 lead, but Hamilton tied it midway through thesecond on a goal by Stacy Tyksinski. Betsy Ammel put Vermont ahead 2-1 at 15:18of the second, but Hamilton's Charlotte Davet again tied the score with a goalat 5:50 of the third. Bovey scored the game winner for Vermont after a wildscramble in front of the Hamilton net.
Hamilton goaltender Isabel Roberts made 31 saves for the Contientals, whowere outshot 34-11. Mell Bouchard stopped nine shots for the Catamounts.
The loss seriously jeopardizes Hamilton's chances to make the Allianceplayoffs. The Continentals last remaining game is Sunday at undefeatedMiddlebury.
