Wesleyan University tallied 27 unanswered points in the second half as they defeated Hamilton College, 34-6 at Steuben Field this afternoon. Wesleyan Quarterback Jake Fay (Glastonbury, CT) became Wesleyan's all-time leader in yards, 5,209 and total offense, 5,308 as he threw for 309 yards on 20-of-31 throwing, gaining 44 yards on the ground.

Hamilton got on the board first when quarterback Robbie Peters (East Hampton, NY) connected with receiver Charles Martin (Hartsdale, NY) for a 39-yard touchdown. The Continentals missed the extra point, making the score 6-0 Hamilton with 7:24 to go in the first quarter. Wesleyan answered back with a seven-play 68-yard drive, capped off by a 40-yard touchdown pass from Fay to receiver Matt Perceval (Box Elder, SD). Wesleyan added the extra point making the score 7-6 Wesleyan. Neither team scored in the second quarter.

The second half belonged to Wesleyan as they piled up 318 yards of total offense scoring 27 points to blow the game wide open. Fay threw for two more touchdowns in the second half. The first came with 3:28 to go in the third quarter on a 17-yard pass to George Thompson (Jacksonville, FL). The second was a 52-yard strike to Perceval to close out the Wesleyan scoring.

Hamilton is 0-2 on the season and travels to Trinity for a 1:30 p.m. start. Wesleyan is 2-0 on the season and hosts Colby next Saturday.
