Hamilton College finished third in the varsity eight at the Tampa Mayor’s Cup held on the Tampa Bypass Canal in Tampa, Fla., on March 20.
 
The course was 1,500 meters in length, and the winds were variable from calm to a 10-mile-per-hour tail wind throughout the day. Hamilton’s entry in the varsity eights finished with a time of 5:23.09. Jacksonville University was the winner in 5:12.30.

Hamilton was second in the novice eights in 6:03.56. A University of South Florida entry took first in 5:57.90. Hamilton also finished second in the novice four and recorded a time of 6:16.74. The winner was a Jacksonville entry that finished in 6:11.90.

Hamilton's varsity four completed the course in 5:37.30 for second place in that race, just 6.10 seconds behind the winning Jacksonville entry. Hamilton took third in the junior varsity eights, finishing in 5:46.09. The University of Florida was first in 5:33.90. In the junior varsity fours, Hamilton placed third with a time of 6:17.56, and Jacksonville was the winner in 5:52.90.

Sophie Breene '12 was coxswain for the varsity eight. The rest of the boat included Lily Ericsson '10 at stroke, Lizzie Collins ‘10 in the bow seat and the following rowers (seats seven through two in descending order): Allison Boyaris '12, Holly Bailey ‘12, Ricki Feldman ‘10, Antonia Villa ‘12, Katya Adair ‘10 and Kendall Scott ‘10.

 was coxswain for the junior varsity eight. The rest of the boat included Izzy Cannell ‘11 at stroke, Fiona Hoffman-Harland ‘13 in the bow seat and the following rowers (seats seven through two in descending order): Virginia Slattery ‘12, Pam Lewis ‘11, Alice Dannenberg ‘13, Catherine Prescott ‘12, Katie Peterson ‘12 and Christina Raia ‘10.

 was coxswain for the novice eight. The rest of the boat included Rachel Johnson '13 at stroke, Iris Greenquist ‘13 in the bow seat and the following rowers (seats seven through two in descending order): Alex Orlov ‘13, Helen Higgins '13, Meg Schlosser ‘13, Ellen Doernberg ’13, Cara Quigley ‘13 and Livy Houston '13.

Breene was coxswain for the varsity fours. The rest of the boat included Bailey at stroke, Ally Fried ‘13 in the bow seat, Collins in 3-seat and Villa in 2-seat.

Boynton was coxswain for the junior varsity fours. The rest of the boat included Lewis at stroke, Peterson in the bow seat, Slattery in 3-seat and Cannell in 2-seat.

Burke was the coxswain for the novice fours. The rest of the boat included Slattery at stroke, Fried in the bow seat, Orlov in 3-seat and Higgins in 2-seat.

Hamilton will row against Union College for the Gilman Plate and Cup on the Erie Canal in Rome, N.Y., on Saturday, April 3.
