Hamilton College's Hanna Jerome '18 led the Continentals to fourth place out of 14 teams in the 2015 Hamilton Women's Cross Country Invitational on Saturday morning.

Results

The Continentals finished with 121 team points. Division II East Stroudsburg University captured the team title with 33 points and nationally ranked No. 33 SUNY Cortland was runner-up with 51. The University of Ottawa took third place with 63 points.

Jerome ended up in 10th place out of 181 athletes with a personal-record time of 18:13.1 on the 5-kilometer course. Her time puts her in sixth place on the program's all-time list for fastest 5K times by a Hamilton runner on the Continentals' home course. East Stroudsburg's Allison Decker was the individual race winner in 17:09.6.

Hamilton's Lindsay Heyer '17 finished 16th with a career-best 5K time of 18:31.3, which was good for 10th place on the team's all-time list. Michelle Fish '17 landed in 28th place in 18:51.2, Mary Lundin '19 was 33rd with a time of 19:03.4 and Elizabeth Perry '18 rounded out the top five in 41st place and a personal-record time of 19:11.0.

The women have next weekend off before they stay home for the 2015 New York State Collegiate Track Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 24.
