  • Women's cross country places fifth in own invitational

    Three Hamilton runners finish in Top 20

    Meredith FitzPatrick '11 finished in 11th place as Hamilton College placed fifth in its own 11-team invitational on campus on Oct. 11.

    FitzPatrick's time on the 5,000-meter course was 18:50.7. The race winner from Ithaca College posted a time of 17:38.3. Perry Ryan '12 was 17th with a time of 19:06.8. Ryan's time ranks 13th on the program's all-time list of fastest Hamilton runners on its home course.

    Abby King '11 ended up 21st out of 128 runners with a time of 19:19.8. Emily Potter '12 was 31st in 19:38. Kate Hails '10 rounded out the Continentals' top five with a time of 19:44 in 37th place.

    Hamilton finished with a team score of 108 points. Queen's University of Canada took home the team title with 25 points. Ithaca College was runner-up with 49 points.

    The Continentals are off until the Saratoga Invitational in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on Saturday, Oct. 25, at noon.
