Women's ice hockey falls to Williams in season opener


Hamilton College lost 2-0 to host Williams College in the season opener for both teams, and a New England Small College Athletic Conference contest at Lansing Chapman Rink on Nov. 20.
 
Becca Hazlett '13 made 42 saves in her collegiate debut for the Continentals, and only allowed one goal in her 59 minutes, 45 seconds in net. The other Williams goal was scored on an empty net with 48 seconds left in the third period.
 
After a scoreless first period, the Ephs scored on a power play with 1:05 left in the second. Hamilton was 0-for-11 with the extra skater, while Williams went 1-for-10. Hamilton had a total of 29 shots on goal, while the Ephs recorded 44.
 
The Continentals return to action on Saturday, Nov. 21, when they travel to Middlebury College for another NESCAC match-up at 3 p.m.
