Hamilton College women's rower Allie Hoeltzel '14 (Wayne, Pa./Baldwin School) took part in the U.S. 2011 Under 23 World Championships Trials at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J., on June 28 and 29.

Hoeltzel was part of Vesper Boat Club's "B" entry that placed third of four boats in the lightweight women's quadruple sculls with a time of 7:04.23. GMS Rowing Center's entry finished first in 6:38.58. Hoeltzel and her teammates missed qualifying to be part of the national team for the world championships, which will be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from July 21 to 24.

Hoeltzel rowed in the bow seat for Hamilton's varsity eight, which ended the season ranked 10th in the USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Division III Top 15 poll. Hamilton finished fifth in the varsity eights petite final and ninth overall among Division III programs at the 2011 Eastern College Athletic Conference championships/National Invitational Collegiate Regatta on May 8.
