Hamilton College's Rachel Newman '16 advanced to the semifinals of the first round consolation draw at the 2014 College Squash Association Women's Individual Championships held at Drexel University on March 1.

Results

Newman swept St. Lawrence University's Emily Terry in three games (12-10, 11-5, 13-11) in the quarterfinals on Saturday morning. She took on Brown University's Sarah Domenick in the semifinals and fell in three games (11-5, 13-11, 11-8) in the afternoon. Newman went 2-2 at the championships and finished her season with a record of 15-11.

Hilary Gray '15 lost in three games (11-9, 11-8, 11-6) against Franklin & Marshall College's Emily Caldwell in the quarterfinals on Saturday morning. Gray, who was selected to the NESCAC all-conference team last week, won one out of three matches at the championships and ended her season with a record of 10-15.
