Hamilton College won two out of three matches played at Hamilton's Little Squash Center from Dec. 3 to Dec. 5.

The Continentals -- 15th in the latest College Squash Association rankings -- breezed to 9-0 wins against No. 26 St. Lawrence University on Friday night, and unranked Colgate University on Saturday. Hamilton (3-2 overall) was edged 5-4 by No. 18 Franklin & Marshall College on Sunday.

Hillary Kolodner '14, Alexis Lee '13 and Laura Russell '14 won all three of their matches during the weekend. Claire Corroon '13 claimed victory in both of her matches. Corroon didn't play against Colgate. Anne Edelstein '11 and Danielle Forsyth '11 defeated their St. Lawrence and Colgate opponents.

Against Franklin & Marshall, Corroon swept her opponent in three games at the second position. All three games were by 11-7 scores. Lee squeezed a 12-10 win out of her first game at sixth position, and had an easier time in the next two games (11-4, 11-8).

Kolodner won rather easily in three games (11-7, 11-3, 11-7) at the eighth position, and Russell followed suit at the ninth position (11-6, 11-9, 11-4). Just three matches went four games or more, including five games at the fourth position.

The Continentals are off until Jan. 16, when they travel to Middlebury College for a match.
