Hamilton College's Megan Gibbons '12 (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights HS) has earned 2009-10 New England Small College Athletic Conference women's swimming and diving all-conference team honors.

The top three finishers in each event at the 2010 NESCAC women's swimming and diving championships receive all-conference recognition. Gibbons made the team for the 50- and 100-yard freestyle.

Gibbons won the 50 free with a time of 24.11 seconds. She is the first Hamilton women's swimmer to win an event at the NESCAC meet since 2004. Her time of 23.97 seconds in the 50 free preliminary heats broke a program record that had stood since 1997.

Gibbons took second place in the 100 free with a time of 52.13 seconds. That time eclipsed another team record that had stood for 13 years. Her times in both freestyle events made a provisional cut for the NCAA Division III championships, which will be held at the University of Minnesota in March.
