Hamilton College's Megan Gibbons '12 (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights HS) was selected the New England Small College Athletic Conference women's swimming and diving performer of the week on Dec. 6.

Gibbons finished first in five individual events, and was part of two winning relays at the Wesleyan University Cardinal Invitational on Dec. 4 and 5. She set meet records in the 50-yard freestyle (24.46 seconds), 200 free (1:56.60) and 100 free (53.56). She also finished first in the 50 breaststroke (32.18) and 100 breast (1:09.86). She ended up second in the 100 individual medley with a time of 1:02.76.

Gibbons was the freestyle (anchor) leg on Hamilton's 200 and 400 medley relays. Both relays finished first and set meet records with times of 1:52.26 and 4:07.58, respectively.

The Continentals finished second with 1,138 points, and meet winner Wesleyan collected 1,282.50. Trinity College was third, Worcester Polytechnic Institute was fourth and Clark University was fifth. Hamilton is off until a dual meet with the University of Rochester in Florida on Jan. 5.
