Four Hamilton College swimmers will compete in the 2011 NCAA Division III swimming and diving championships at the University of Tennessee's Allan Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville from Wednesday, March 23, through Saturday, March 26.

Liz Bucceri '11 (Falls Village, Conn./Loomis Chaffee School), Megan Gibbons '12 (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights HS), Joan Burton '13 (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich./Cranbrook School) and Maggie Rosenbaum '14 (Alford, Mass./Monument Mountain Regional HS) qualified as a group and are seeded 14th in the 200-yard medley relay with a program-record time of 1:46.15.

Gibbons has qualified in the 50-yard freestyle as she broke her own team record with a time of 23.74 seconds. She is the only one of the four that has been to the NCAA championships before -- in 2009 and 2010. She earned an honorable mention All-America award for her performance in the 50 free last year.

Rosenbaum qualified for this year's national meet as an individual in the 100 and 200 backstroke at the 2011 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's swimming and diving championship in February. She finished first and set team records in both events at the NESCAC meet. Her best time in the 100 back is 55.70 seconds, and she recorded a top time of 2:01.72 in the 200.

Hamilton plans to compete in all three freestyle relays and both medley relays. Rosenbaum is seeded first in the 100 back and fourth in the 200 back. Gibbons is seeded 16th in the 50 free.

On Wednesday, Hamilton swimmers will compete in the 50 free and 200 medley relay. On Thursday, Hamilton swimmers will compete in the 200 free relay and 400 medley relay. On Friday, Hamilton swimmers will compete in the 100 back and 800 free relay. On Saturday, Hamilton swimmers will compete in the 100 free, 200 back and 400 free relay.
