Four Hamilton College women's swimmers have qualified for the 2012 NCAA Division III swimming & diving championships, which will be held at the Indiana University Natatorium on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis campus from March 21 to March 24.

Megan Gibbons '12, Gabrielle Goione '12, Joanie Burton '13 and Maggie Rosenbaum '14 made the meet in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:46.36. Gibbons also qualified in the 100 and 200 freestyle with program-record times of 51.43 seconds and 1:51.77, respectively. Rosenbaum made it in the 100 and 200 backstroke. Her 200 back time of 1:59.94 set another team record.

Rosenbaum won Hamilton's first NCAA individual title in women's swimming for the 100 back at the 2011 national championships. She also picked up honorable mention All-America awards for the 200 back and 400 medley relay last year.

Gibbons has earned four honorable mention All-America awards in her college career. She claimed three in 2011 (50 and 100 free, 400 medley relay) and one in 2010 (50 free).

Burton was an honorable mention All-American for the 400 medley relay last year as well. Burton and Rosenbaum will make their second appearance at the NCAA championships, Gibbons will make her third trip and Goione will participate for the first time.

The Continentals have scored points at the NCAA championships 19 times. Hamilton's best showing as a team was 10th place in 2000. The Continentals finished 20th last year.
